Cliff Vroegop
Frontend Developer
I'm Cliff, a developer with a background in psychology. That combination is less strange than it sounds. Most developers learn to code and pick up UX along the way. I went the other direction.
During my studies I ran usability research with eye tracking and EEG. You watch people use an interface up close, and it's often not what whoever built it had in mind. That view stuck with me. When I write code now, the first question isn't whether it works technically, but whether it feels logical.
I have ideas often and like to experiment, and this is where they end up. In my own time I build products entirely myself, from database design through to deployment. That gives me the creative room my day job doesn't always leave. Pubquizster and ThemeShuffle came out of that, ideas I kept pushing until something worked.
I'd rather work on things that matter, whether that serves a wider cause or is simply something people are glad to use.
